Hanhan visited me this weekend! She's living in Madrid for the year doing company training. It was wonderful to see her. I took her to my favorite crêperie, my absinthe café, and to several other personal and general places to visit in Paris. Hanhan is just so much happier about life now that she's out of MIT. The school of Masochists-In-Training never really was for her. It's strange to go from more or less having lived together for two years (since she was just down the hall from me and even in my sorority) to trying to fill each other in on large blocks of time during which we had little communication. So much has happened since the spring of 2007 when she graduated and we've both experienced a great deal, so we had a good share of stories for each

other which filled much of the weekend. It was also good to have

someone remind me to really look up and around as I walk through the streets of Paris since all the difficulties of settling in were starting to drive me to the point that I was forgetting to look around and appreciate all the incredible beauty in this city.
