This week I had not one but two East Campus '09 alums hanging around Paris
to keep me company! Sarah Slotznick, a fellow Fifth Wester, in fact, spent a few days in Paris as the first leg of a month-long Eurotrip with one of her equally nerdy friends of theEarth and Planetary science variety. They met while working in Volcanoes National Park in Hawaii this past winter. Together, we all went out for crêpes near the Bastille last night and then for couscous and delightfully sweetened mint tea at the Mosquée de Paris this evening. It was just excellent to get to reminisce (and yes, even gossip a bit) with someone from a time which, even if not so far in my chronological past, is already starting to feel like a lifetime ago.
